How the test works

The photos are of real cards, taken by a collector with a phone, front side only. Each is sent to the scanner the way the app sends it: cropped to the card, at most 800 pixels on the long side.
The scanner runs with its standard settings. It searches eBay for listings that look like the card, and the AI reads the card whenever those listings don't agree.
Only the scanner's first answer counts. It's the right card when the player, year, set and card number all match, and exact when the parallel matches too. A plain card has to be answered as a plain card.
Where a photo doesn't show a parallel's color for certain, the test checks only what it does show, such as the print run.
Only 4 of the cards are from before 1980, so the vintage row is a small sample. There are no graded cards in the set yet.
