Is Card Cabinet free?
Yes. Every account can use the whole app, with a free monthly allowance of 25 card scans and 50 price checks on Card Cabinet's own eBay and Claude keys. Organizing, sets, the wish list, sharing, imports and exports aren't limited. You can also add your own keys for unlimited use. See How keys and the free allowance work.
Where do the prices come from?
From eBay Buy It Now listings for sale right now, matched to each card on player, year, set, number, parallel and grade, including shipping. They're asking prices, not sale prices, and cards often sell for less. See How prices work.
Why would I add my own eBay or Claude keys?
To remove the monthly limits, and to have prices, photo sync and nightly re-pricing reach your whole collection. eBay keys are free. A Claude key costs about $2 to $4 per 1,000 scans, paid to Anthropic. Guides: eBay keys and Claude key.
Is my collection private?
Yes. Only you can see it unless you make a binder link, which only people you send it to can open, and which search engines don't index. See Privacy at a glance.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in any modern phone browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. The scanner uses your phone's back camera. See Card Cabinet on your phone.
Which cards does it support?
Baseball cards: modern and vintage, raw and graded, base cards, parallels, inserts, autographs and relics. The checklist library has every official Topps baseball checklist since 2021, and you can add a card from any set by hand.
Can I import my existing list?
Yes, from CSV or Excel, including exports from Google Sheets and Numbers. See Importing a spreadsheet.
Can I get my data out?
Any time: a backup file, a CSV spreadsheet, or a full download of everything on your account page. See Download or delete your data.
How do I delete my account?
On your account page, under Delete account. It removes your collection, photos, keys and account at once, and can't be undone.
What does "Check this one" mean after a scan?
The scanner has a good guess but other cards were close. Look at the options before adding, pick another one, or type over the details. See Scanning a card.
Why is a card's value missing or out of date?
No listing on eBay matched it closely enough, or its details are incomplete. Check the year, set, number and parallel, try Check eBay prices again later, or log a value yourself.
Is Card Cabinet affiliated with eBay, MLB, Topps or Anthropic?
No. It uses eBay's and Anthropic's public APIs and isn't affiliated with eBay, MLB, Anthropic or any card maker.
How do I get help or report a problem?
Email support@cardcabinet.app. For a problem, say what you were doing, what you expected and what happened, and include a screenshot if you can.
