Card Cabinet

Prices and goals

Wish list and deals

Keep a list of cards you want, set target prices, and get flagged when an exact match is listed well below its usual price.

On this page

The wish list tracks cards you're after and watches eBay for them, so you hear about a good price instead of having to look.

The Wish list: wanted cards with their lowest asking price, typical price and target, and deal tags
Wanted cards, with deals flagged.

Adding a card

Choose Add on the Wish list, then search for the card, for example judge 2024 chrome, and choose Add beside the right result. If it isn't listed, choose Enter the details yourself.

Be precise: the wish list matches listings on every detail, so fill in the parallel and grade you want. A card without a year and set can't be priced, and shows Add the year and set to price this card.

Each new wish list card gets a photo and a price check in the background.

Targets and priorities

Open a wish list card to see its Lowest ask, Typical price and Your target. Set a target price and Card Cabinet tells you when a matching listing is at or below it.

Give cards a priority (Top, Want or Someday), then group and sort the list how you like: by priority, set, player or team, and by best buys, closest to target, lowest price or newest.

Add tags such as For the show in a card's Tags field. Your most used tags appear as filters above the list, and search covers them too.

Deals

A listing is flagged as a deal when it is surely the exact card (right player, year, set and grade, not damaged, not a lot) and either:

  • At your target: it's at or under the target price you set, or
  • Below typical: it's at least 15% under both the card's typical asking price and today's cheaper listings. You can change the 15% (anywhere from 5 to 60) in Settings → Wish list deals.

Deals show as a tag on the card, a badge on Wish list, and a line in Home's Needs a look. View on eBay ↗ opens the listing.

To get an email when a wish list card reaches your target, turn on Email me when a wish list card is at or below my target price in Settings. It needs a confirmed email address, and you get one email per listing and price, not a stream of them.

How often it's checked

The wish list is checked every few hours. Check prices runs a check now. These checks don't count against your monthly allowance. With your own eBay keys, every check can cover up to 200 wish list cards; on the free allowance, it's a smaller share each time.

When you buy it

Open the card, choose I bought it, enter what you paid, and choose Move to my collection. It moves over with its photo and price history. If you scan the card instead, the scanner offers Move from wish list.

Bought several at once? Select them and choose I got these. See Changing many cards at once.

Missing from sets

The Missing from sets tab lists the cards you still need for the sets you're building, ready to add to the wish list.
