Prices and goals
How suggestions work
How setup builds your collecting profile, where your picks come from, what Claude sees, and how to tell Card Cabinet what you don't want.
Card Cabinet suggests wish list cards and goals from your collecting profile: the teams, players and eras you follow, what you chase, and the cards you already own.
Setup
Setup takes about a minute. New accounts see it right after signing up. If you already have cards, it's offered once on Home, and you can run it again any time from Settings > Interests.
- Who do you collect? Teams, players and eras. If you have cards, the ones you own most are already ticked. Change anything that's off.
- What do you chase? Base sets, rookies, autographs, numbered parallels, team sets and so on. Optionally, describe what you collect in your own words.
- Your picks. Up to 12 wish list cards and 3 goals, each with a short reason. Add the ones you want, or Add all.
You can skip any step.
Where picks come from
Picks only come from the checklists in Card Cabinet, so every card is a real card with its real number. The checklists cover every official Topps baseball set since 2021, so picks lean modern for now. If you collect older cards, you'll mostly see goals such as a player run.
Claude, Anthropic's AI, chooses and explains the picks. It runs on Card Cabinet's own key, so it never uses your scans, price checks or your own Claude key. If it isn't available, picks are ranked by how well they fit your profile instead.
Picks refresh once a month as your collection grows. They show under Picked for you on Home and in the Sets tab of your wish list.
What Claude sees
Claude receives the teams, players, eras and brands in your profile, how many cards you have, the checklist cards being considered, and your note if you wrote one. It doesn't receive your name, email address, photos, prices or notes on your cards.
Your note isn't kept. Card Cabinet keeps only what Claude read from it, as tags marked note in Settings > Interests, where you can remove them.
Not interested
Tap × on a suggestion to hide it. You can then hide that player or that kind of card (autographs, relics, numbered parallels or inserts) in one tap, or undo. Pass on three cards of the same player or set and the rest are hidden for you.
Everything you've hidden is listed under Not interested in Settings > Interests. Tap × there to see it again.
