Your collection
Changing many cards at once
Select cards and edit, tag, price, pin, move or delete them together, then undo any change or bring deleted cards back for 30 days.
On this page
When a collection runs to hundreds or thousands of cards, fixing them one at a time isn't practical. Select the cards, then change them together.
Selecting cards
- On a computer: choose Select above your collection, then tick cards. Shift-click a second card to take every card between the two. Ctrl-click (or Cmd-click on a Mac) selects without choosing Select first, and Ctrl+A selects every card that matches your search and filters.
- On a phone: press and hold a card until it's ticked, then tap more. Select all in the bar takes every card in the current view.
Selecting works the same way in Collection, the Showcase and the Wish list. A bar shows how many cards are selected and what you can do with them. Done (or Esc, or the Back button on Android) ends selecting.
What you can do
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Edit | Set, replace, clear or add to one field on every selected card: team, set, year, player, card number, parallel, grading, where it is, quantity, what you paid, purchase date or notes. Before you confirm, it shows a few examples and how many cards will change. |
| Tags | Add or take off tags such as Trade bait or For the show. Tap a tag once to add it to every card, again to take it off. |
| Price | Check eBay asking prices for the selection, set a value yourself, change values by a percent, or use each card's latest eBay median as its value. |
| Pin | Pin the cards to the top of the Showcase, or unpin them. |
| Delete | Moves the cards to Recently deleted for 30 days. |
| More | Move to or add to your wish list, track the cards' sets in Goals, merge duplicates, find photos, crop photos, and export the selection as a spreadsheet. |
On the wish list, I got these moves the selected cards into your collection, with what you paid if you enter it.
Filling in from checklists
When you edit the team or card number and some selected cards are blank, Card Cabinet offers Fill in from checklists: it takes the team or number from each card's set checklist, without touching cards that already have one.
Checking prices for many cards
Price → Check looks the cards up on eBay one at a time on Card Cabinet's server, so it keeps going if you close the window or your phone locks. A small pill at the top shows how far it got. It uses the same keys and monthly allowance as a single price check, and skips cards checked in the last day unless you ask. See How prices work.
Undo, Recent changes and Recently deleted
Every change made to many cards shows Undo for a few seconds. Ctrl+Z undoes your last change, and Ctrl+Shift+Z brings it back.
Recent changes (in More, or the clock button on a computer) lists your last 50 changes from the past 30 days, from any device, each with Undo. Recently deleted lists deleted cards for 30 days, with their photos and price history, so you can restore any of them. After 30 days they're gone for good.
Fix-up views
The quick filter above your collection has a Fix up group: No team, No card number, Set not in the library and Possible duplicates. Each one shows the cards that need it, with a button that selects them all and opens the fix.
